The Stables at Washita Farms

Our family has been farming and ranching in southern Oklahoma for decades. With deep roots here, we’ve hosted many events in the area throughout the years. When we had a big family wedding in January of 2015, we found that we were grasping at straws for locations to host an engagement party, bridal showers and rehearsal dinner. The options were few and far between. We knew we couldn’t be the only ones feeling this way! It was then that discussion and dialogue began about the need for additional venues to serve Ardmore, Madill, Tishomingo and the surrounding area. With some brainstorming and a lot of imagination, we realized we may have just the property. Transforming the existing horse barn that has become The Stables at Washita Farms has truly been a labor of love. Every member of our immediate family has had a hand in the decision making process, and there have been many hours of physical labor put in, too. Our vision for The Stables was to preserve the equestrian-style look of the original barn while adding some elegant touches and features. Additionally, we repurposed items and materials from our historic ranch to build something truly unique. What you will find is a blank canvas which is beautiful on its’ own. You can decorate as much or as little as you choose. Your choice of event decor will only add to the beauty of the barn! It is our hope that The Stables at Washita Farms will provide an ideal location for ALL of life’s celebrations… engagement parties, anniversary parties, milestone birthdays, rehearsal dinners, weddings, vow renewals, family reunions, corporate retreats and more. We place great value on our family’s involvement in the management of The Stables at Washita Farms, and we would love to play a role in your special day.

Note: Site visits are by appointment only. Appointments are scheduled Monday-Thursday between the hours of 9AM and 7PM. We will do our best to accommodate visits with short notice, but typically appointments are scheduled approx. one week out.
